Motor Vehicle Accidents
An ever-increasing number of our calls are to respond to MVA's, or Motor Vehicle Accidents. One of our functions is to assist the Rescue Squad by ensuring that they can safely extract injured victims from the accident.  This is accomplished by first ensuring that there is no immediate fire
or explosion hazard at the accident scene. If there is none, we secure the vehicle by blocking off the wheels and
ensure that it is stable. In extreme cases, we assist in the extraction by using heavy tools.
