South Bound Brook is located in Central New Jersey on the Eastern border of Somerset County.  It is located just outside the Northern most tip of Franklin Township.  South Bound Brook is only a mere 0.9 square miles in total area but contains about 5,000 people who live within the borders.  Our town is mostly residential with a quaint downtown Main Street.  The town is bordered by the Delaware Canal and Raritan River on 3/4's of its borders.  The remaining border is surrounded by Interstate 287 just outside of South Bound Brook. 

The South Bound Brook Fire Company was incorporated March 28th 1902.  The Fire Company's first firehouse was located on Main Street (the current Joe's Meat Market) from 1913 till 1958.  At that time we moved to our current location on Edgewood Terrace. 

We have run 100 percent

 the entire time.
